        Survey of Mexican American history from colonization to the present. Examines the Spanish and native Mexican roots of people in the American Southwest, the Mexican War of 1846-48 and its aftermath, the interrelationship of Mexico and United States histories between 1860 and 1910, the effects of the Mexican revolution (1910) on Mexican Americans in the United States, and the Chicano experience of the 20th century.
